How We Muck Up Relationships
How We Muck Up a Relationship
Week 2 in The Relationship Workshop
Part of what most threatens our sense of well-being (and stability in a relationship) is our undetected voice of negativity. It presents itself as a street-smart, practical protector. In fact, it's self-generated, untethered to reality and part of the archetypal journey from Egypt (Mitzrayim in Hebrew) we are all meant to travel. How do we detect it? How do we cease to buy into it?

How do you know if you met your soulmate?
This week's portion, Shmos, chronicles the story of the family of Jacob's transformation to a nation, their persecution, and the beginning of their redemption.
Topics discussed:
1) Forbidden employment: what type of labor is one NOT allowed to subject others to?
2) Who am I to take on a big project (like redeeming an entire nation from bondage)?
3) Being a wuss or being an intellectual–that is the question
